Case Study 1 – Business Analysis
R&G consulting was asked by a major UK utility to help clear an extensive backlog of system change requests, providing an impact analysis for each change, covering complexity, cost, perceived risks and a plan for delivery of each.
As the additional benefit that R&G Consulting could provide was recognised, the original scope of the work was extended to delivering a number of these changes. R&G Consulting worked closely with users & stakeholders to ensure changes delivering most business benefit were prioritised, constantly responding to and guiding the decision making process to ensure the optimum number of changes were delivered within the timescales available.
Case Study 2 – Structured Gas Contracts
R&G Consulting was employed to capture and document requirements for a bespoke system to manage multiple long term gas purchasing contracts.
The challenge on this project was to accurately collate a consensus set of requirements for each contract, derived from multiple data sources and business units, and then translate each set of requirements into an operational system.
The company was involved at all stages of the development lifecycle, from initial planning through testing and final implementation into a production environment. Analysis carried out by R&G Consulting identified savings of over £30K on 1 contract alone and on-going work has delivered time efficiencies in the delivery of future contracts.
